What to review before buying a used Tesla at auction

Battery, drivetrain and configuration matter as much as the headline valuation.

Match the configuration

Keep Model Y and Model 3 separate, and distinguish Long Range, Performance, rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Year, mileage and equipment differences can materially change the research.

Review battery and condition evidence

An auction condition grade is not a battery-health report or warranty confirmation. Review the actual vehicle's history, available condition reports, charging equipment and warranty terms.

Include delivery and purchase charges

The public difference is before transport and other purchase charges. A distant vehicle with a promising valuation still needs a candidate-specific budget and your written bid approval.
