A broker on commission earns five times more selling the BMW than the Elantra, which is a reason to steer you toward the BMW. We earn the same either way. That is the entire argument, and it is sitting on four invoices rather than in a headline.

How to read these

Dealer auctions have their own vocabulary. Three terms decode everything below.

Sale light
Green means the auction stands behind the announced condition, so an undisclosed fault is arbitrable. Red is as-is, no recourse. Blue means the title was not physically at the sale.
Buy fee
The auction's own charge to the buying dealer. It scales with the price of the car, which is why it moves across these four.
Simulcast fee
A flat $50 for bidding online into a live lane rather than standing in it. It appears on every one of these.

What you see above is the auction side of the ledger — the car and the auction’s own fees. Your purchase also carries Utah sales tax, title and registration, transport if the car sits outside our delivery radius, and the optional post-sale inspection if you elect it. Every one of them is itemised on your approval sheet before you sign, and the $1,500 is billed only if we win the car.
