Compare specifications first

A model name alone is not enough. Year, trim, drivetrain, fuel type, mileage and condition change the comparison. Missing information is a reason to review a candidate, not proof that two vehicles match.

Use the full research sample

The displayed difference uses median KSL asking prices and median auction valuations, less the $1,500 DealerKey fee. The photographed vehicles illustrate the research; choosing a different photo does not change the calculation.

Turn the difference into a buying decision

Asking prices are not completed sale prices and valuations are not winning bids. Auction buyer fees, transport, inspection, repairs, documents, tax, title and registration can reduce or consume the difference. Review the actual candidate before approving a bid.
