Before you bid

Know your purchase costs before you bid.

The auction valuation is a starting point. Review the purchase charges and vehicle details with Dallin before approving a maximum bid.

Other purchase charges

Amounts need to be confirmed for your specific vehicle.

  • Auction buyer fees
  • Transport
  • Inspection and needed repairs
  • Document charges
  • Tax, title and registration

The gap between asking prices and valuations must cover the DealerKey fee, other purchase charges and the vehicle's condition. Confirm the exact vehicle details, condition and costs before approving a bid.

How we select the comparables

The monthly snapshot uses same-year and trim research within the disclosed mileage band. Known drivetrain, powertrain, engine and cab differences are excluded. The callout uses full-sample medians, not the two pictured vehicles. Auction vehicles favor reported condition grades of at least 4/5 where available, proximity to Utah and valuations within the research sample. Retail references are paired by nearby mileage without selecting higher asking prices to enlarge the difference. Asking prices are not sold prices; auction valuations are not winning bids. Photos belong to the individual dated source vehicles.

Before you bid.

How does DealerKey's dealer-auction service work?

Tell Dallin the vehicle, condition and budget you want. Dallin reviews suitable dealer-auction vehicles, available reports and every known purchase cost with the buyer. The buyer approves a maximum bid before DealerKey acts. No bid is placed without that approval. DealerKey's fee is a flat $1,500, billed only when DealerKey wins the vehicle at auction. No win means no DealerKey fee.

What happens after I submit?

Your request is saved and Dallin's calendar opens on this page. Choose a free 15-minute call time or save the calendar link for later. Dallin reviews your preferences and the known costs with you. This is not an instant price quote. Booking is optional and does not commit you to buy.

What matters when comparing a 1500?

Match the body style, engine, cab and bed, then consider mileage and condition. Do not compare different body generations as if they were the same truck.

Is the auction price my final cost?

No. The winning bid, auction fees, tax/title, transport and any needed repairs are separate costs. Dallin reviews those known costs before you approve a maximum bid.

When is the DealerKey fee billed?

DealerKey's fee is a flat $1,500, billed only when DealerKey wins the vehicle at auction. No win means no DealerKey fee. Other purchase costs are separate.

Does DealerKey have its own vehicle inventory?

DealerKey sources suitable vehicles through bona fide dealer auctions after reviewing your year, trim, condition and budget. The page is not a live inventory feed or an offer to sell a particular vehicle. Availability can change before a bid is placed.

What will we cover in 15 minutes?

Build your buying plan: compare vehicle choices, identify condition and purchase-cost questions, and work toward a maximum bid. If a current match is not available, discuss what to look for next. No purchase commitment or bid without your approval.
